Welcome to the InnoFuture Wiki!

InnoFuture is a knowledge forum for professionals, executives and thinkers from across an entire enterprise to help them harness innovation and be more competitive in today's global economy. InnoFuture presents a holistic way of thinking about innovation, integrating social, economic and environmental objectives.

InnoFuture Manifesto:

  • We can't think in terms of isolated local markets any longer.
  • The world market is now a global village and everybody in engaged in the competition for resources, talent and customers.
  • If we don't set out on an outbound exploration journey today to find new customers, a competitor's ship  is already sailing towards our shores.
  • To be competitive we need to adopt innovative thinking about new opportunities, collaborate  and aim to be the best in what we can offer.
  • The only Benchmarking we should do is to avoid comparisons and to do things DIFFERENTLY.
  • We must 'wear our Customers shoes' to understand their pain - as the only source of innovation.
  • We must be guided by only to know what HASN'T BEEN DONE ALREADY.
  • We must look to Customers who DONT BUY FROM US for lessons and growth.

  • To be the best, we must learn from the best by being connect to the global pool of ideas.

InnoFuture: the wiki, the conference, the Momenutum professional innovation network - all aim to provide a connecting platform for those who want to be in the innovation race.

Purpose of this wiki:

The InnoFuture Wiki offers another medium for professionals to connect and discuss innovation. Frans Johansson said in 'The Medici Effect' that the best breakthrough opportunities exist at 'intersections' of disciplines, industries and cultures. Here you can connect with people who share your ideas, challenges and maybe have thought of some answers or at least better questions. Enter the discussion: make a contribution and get some answers. But most of all take the opportunity to make InnoFuture 2008 your conference.

Hi Margaret - My posting is in two parts. Under the heading when it comes to innovation we don't dont what we dont know! Who the hell is connecting teh dots?
1. Lars Rasmussen and his brother have just demoed Google's next breakthrough innovation Google Wave (these are the guys that also developed the code for Google Maps) and moved to Sydney a few years ago. They are real innovation heroes overseas yet they are virtually unknown here - Why?. FYI. Lars is presenting in BNE on the 30th courtesy of the Warren Centre
2. What linkages do you know of- that have been forged with Australian Design Awards - specifically James Dyson Fund - Similarly terrific Innovation going on here as well but yet again there's a disconnect within the circles we seem to be moving in. Why?
